Responsible for providing leadership, oversight and direction in ensuring the institution or agency's full compliance with the provisions of Title IX of Education Amendments of 1972 and its implementing regulations. The position holder must work independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Graduation from an accredited post-secondary educational institution with a Bachelor's degree in Education, Finance, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, Public Administration, Business, Human Resources or related field; Plus, two (2) years of related experience in related field; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience totaling six (6) years. An additional 1 year of experience is preferred in the education, employment, law enforcement, private investigation, or related field. An advanced degree, such as a Master’s or a Juris Doctor, is desirable. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment; must be able to use hands and fingers for sign language.
Unavoidable Hazards: The position is exposed to no unusual environmental hazards.
Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
