  To conduct and communicate school landscape analyses that lead to diverse models in locations with the most need for quality school options, through the charter school application, authorization, and school review processes.  The purpose of the SCS charter school application process is to provide a rigorous, comprehensive, and unbiased evaluation of all charter applicant groups throughout their charter terms according to clearly defined standards by the State of Tennessee and local Board Policies.

Oversees compliance with state and federal law across state reporting, operations and academics, and school safety for Shelby County Schools Charter Managed Schools and the Shelby County Schools Office of Charter Schools. Serves as the point of contact for internal and external partners, school leaders, and Tennessee Department of Education staff for reporting requirements.  Ensures all state and federal deadlines are met by both the Office and charter managed schools. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct health care services to students under the direction of a RN. Raineswood Residential Training Center is a facility for students who require 24-hour intervention and monitoring via residential service. This position works under direct supervision to assist assigned teachers in preparing instructional materials, preparing classrooms for activities, supervising and assisting children in the classroom and in other areas of the school, reinforcing classroom lessons, and providing other assistance as requested.  May be responsible for providing assistance to special needs students or coordinating special projects and programs as assigned.

To provide direct services for assigned schools; assist in the intervention process as a member of the Student Support Team; perform individual psychological observations, evaluations, and assessment for referred students; explain the results of these evaluations to parents and other team members; participate in implementation of Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI2); provide consultation to educational staff; and promote compliance with state and federal regulations. The School Psychologist applies knowledge of psychology, education, and child development to provide competent and ethical services consistent with standards established by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
