SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

 

Delivers at a high level of competency in Information Technology. Provides leadership in the provision of technical support and assistance in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems and telephone systems. Assesses and performs analysis on data, and prepares data to facilitate Relationships and Customer Service functions of organization. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Receives and responds to routine and critical calls for administrative and instruction staff.
  2. Assists in maintaining departmental inventory records of equipment, software, materials and supplies.
  3. Develops and applies solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and competency in managing complex assignments.
  4. Provides network, e-email, hardware and desktop support for teachers and staff; provides support and assistance to school webmasters. Installs, configures, tests and maintains computer software and hardware for administrative and instructional operations; upgrades software and hardware. Troubleshoots problems with computer and telephone equipment.
  5. Converses with management to determine type, scope, and purpose of analyses. May lead a team in the effort. Work with other analysts and management to complete assigned project work. Provides hardware/software training, instruction and mentoring.
  6. Deals with complex problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvements. May ensure that the workgroups goals and activities are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization; and that the execution of responsibilities are in accordance to lawful and ethical standards.
  7. Directs and assists in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations; provides for appropriate research and compiles reports, as needed.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus an additional 4 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 8 years. Preferred Certifications: ITIL Foundation, Certified Support Center Analyst, Certified MCITP, A+. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
