SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Delivers at a high level of competency in student information management. Performs analysis on data and prepares data to facility student information function of organization. Responsibilities require understanding both theory and practice.
1. Develops and applies solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and competency in student information management.
2. Converses with management to determine type, scope, and purpose of analyses. May lead a team in the effort. Works with other analysts and management to complete assigned project work.
3. Assists in training others in student information management related policies and procedures.
4. Deals with complex problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvements.
5. Ensure that the work group’s goals and activities are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization; and that the execution of responsibilities is in accordance to lawful and ethical standards.
6. Directs and assists in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations; provides for appropriate research and compiles reports, as needed.
7. Maintains documentation to comply with local, state and federal audits and compliance requirements. Ensures that attendance, discipline, and grading information is monitored and that reports are prepared to maintain accurate data.
8. Communicates with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state agency regulations and restrictions as well as SCS policies and procedures, related to grades, discipline, and attendance.
9. Collects and maintains student information data and provides analytical reports for review
10. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Management, or a related area plus an additional 3 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 7 years.

Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
