SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Delivers at a high level of competency in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Assistive / Adaptive Technology services, working on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvement.

1. Implements Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy, and Assistive / Adaptive technology as a related service under IDEA ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
2. Maintains accurate therapy documentation on students.
3. Promotes a healthy environment by providing general health and safety education to parents, students, MSCS employees, and community
4. Expected to travel to multiple school locations
5. Screens students to determine if an OT/PT evaluation indicated.
6. Understands and can explain when school-based therapy is not indicated.
7. Mentors professional therapy students in accordance with professional practice standards
8. Evaluates students at the request of the IEP team and collaborates with team members to implement therapeutic activities.
9. Provides age appropriate therapeutic activities that foster integration of the student into the classroom, school or community setting.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy plus an additional 2 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 6 years. Current licensure to practice physical therapy or occupational therapy in Tennessee. Prefer Members in APTA, AOTA, or national professional associations. Prefer experience in school bases practice or pediatrics.
