Purpose and Scope

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

 

Supports an organization or department by performing secretarial and clerical services. Assists management with administrative tasks such as tracking and compiling information of interest.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides general clerical and secretarial support for programs and projects.
  2. Prepares various reports detailing the administrative information handled by the position.
  3. Prepares basic correspondence, order supplies and cover telephones.
  4. Uses data entry knowledge to accurately update the Division database daily.
  5. Manages and coordinates phone communications throughout the Division.
  6. Provides necessary information to customers' inquiries.
  7. Makes necessary arrangements for meetings, activities and events between departments and or organizations.
  8. Performs daily clerical duties such as, receives mail and packages, prepares business correspondence, sends faxes, and manages files.
  9. Performs day-to-day operation matters necessary to support stakeholders.
  10. Prepares and maintains a variety of reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent, and 2 years' experience in a relevant area for a total education/experience of 2 years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

 

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included. 

Additional Job Details

This position will support the Office of Enrollment & Attendance with homeschool enrollment, student transfers, residency verification, registration forms, attendance reports and other duties as assigned. Respond to enrollment inquiries via phone, email or in-person. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of PowerSchool and PowerSchool Enrollment is required.
