Purpose and Scope

The Manager of Partnerships & Development leads the district's efforts to establish, expand, and sustain high-impact relationships with corporate, nonprofit, government, and community partners. The Manager oversees day-to-day partner engagement, supports strategic initiatives such as school adoption programs, and ensures alignment between partner contributions and district priorities. This position supervises Advisors and other assigned staff, ensuring consistent, equitable, and measurable implementation of partnership programming across schools.

Essential Job Functions

1. Cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with corporate, philanthropic, nonprofit, and community partners to support district priorities.


2. Ensure partnerships are aligned with district strategic goals and provide measurable benefits to students and schools.


3. Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Partnerships & Development Advisors and other assigned staff.


4. Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and ensure accountability for program outcomes.


5. Lead the district's school adoption initiatives and manage partner engagement across multiple schools.


6. Work with principals and school leaders to align partner resources to school needs.


7. Monitor program fidelity and effectiveness.


8. Represent the district at community, civic, and business events.


9. Deliver presentations to prospective partners.


10. Serve as a liaison to civic and industry groups to grow awareness and secure additional support.


11. Oversee the tracking of partnership activities, contributions, and outcomes in the district's partnership management system.


12. Develop and present reports for district leadership, school board members, and external stakeholders.


13. Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing strategies for fundraising, grant opportunities, and long-term partner sustainability.


14. Provide input into departmental budgets and strategic plans.


15. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in partnership management, development, fundraising, or community relations or related field OR combination of education and experience for a total of nine (9) years. Experience in K- 12 education or nonprofit sector is highly valued. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
