The position of Title IX Investigator independently conducts investigations into allegations of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, relationship (dating) violence, and stalking involving students and staff. Acts as a neutral party and provides an unbiased fact-finding report.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, Public Administration, Business, Human Resources or related field, plus an additional four (4) years of experience to include conducting investigations in an employment or educational environment, (experience investigating sex discrimination and harassment complaints in a K-12 education environment highly preferred) and experience communicating with children and students regarding sensitive matters; strong knowledge of nondiscrimination laws and regulations, preferably including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the Violence Against Women Act amendments to the Clery Act; Certification, training, and/or experience in conducting trauma-informed investigations is preferred for a total education and/or experience of eight (8) years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
