Purpose and Scope

The Manager, Data Strategy & Performance Management is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of performance management and strategic data planning activities. The manager is responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that align with key district initiatives and goals.

 

Essential Job Functions

1. Manages staff establishing standards and effectively select, train, motivate, delegate, monitor, and evaluate performance.

2. Ensure targets and goals are met, facilitates professional development, and serves as coach and mentor.

3. Collaborates with other managers and management representatives from district departments to ensure that performance management work aligns to the broader goals and objectives of the organization.

4. Demonstrates a strong ability to execute against a large scope with multiple priorities.

5. Leads and coordinates project task deadlines and schedules among all resources attached to projects across divisions and cross-functional teams, identifying areas where projects require additional input, and coordinating with support providers to ensure on-time execution of project milestones and deliverables.

6. Performs complex data analysis and statistics related to the development and implementation of district and initiative KPIs.

7. Aids in the development and reporting of key district KPIs in conjunction with OPRs and district leadership.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, social sciences, mathematics, statistics or other related field plus an additional five (5) years related experience, or equivalent for a total education and experience of nine (9) years. Ph.D. preferred in education, statistics, research, business administration, or related field.

Experience in project management, complex/large data sets and communicating results aligned with desired performance outcomes required.

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’ Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’ Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience.
