Delivers at a high level of competency in criminal investigation. Assesses and performs analysis on data, and prepares data to facilitate the criminal investigation function. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice. Manages Lieutenant and Sergeants. Maintain accountability and oversee all expenditures for the operational budget of Security.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree plus five (5) years of management related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of nine (9) years. Must have three (3) years of Law Enforcement or Security supervisory experience. May require certification(s) or license(s) deemed necessary by the Board or supervisor, depending on field of expertise and assignment in District Administration. Must have a valid driver’s license and State of Tennessee Armed Guard License. Must be a certified trainer in a specialized law enforcement field.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
