Purpose and Scope

 Delivers a high level of competency in Coordinated School Health. Assesses and performs analysis on data, and prepares data to facilitate the Student Services functions of organization. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Develops and applies solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and competency in Coordinated School Health.
  2. Works with all managers of Coordinated School Health to assist with grant development opportunities and development of evaluation methods.
  3. Converses with management to determine type, scope, and purpose of analyses. May lead a team in the effort.  Work with other analysts and management to complete assigned project work.
  4. Facilitates data-driven decision making for implementation of holistic health promotion activities that impact staff performance and student achievement.
  5. Supports Mental Health Service Manager, Coordinated School Health Manager, and Clinic/Health Promotion Manager in data collection needs.
  6. Serves as a liaison with district research office related to School Health Profiles, YRB, Coordinated School Health State BMI data and other relevant data sets within the scope of the Coordinated School Health Department.
  7. Deals with complex problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvements.
  8. Ensures that the workgroup’s goals and activities are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization; and that the execution of responsibilities are in accordance to lawful and ethical standards.
  9. Directs and assists in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations.
  10. Provides for appropriate research and compiles reports, as needed.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Business plus an additional three (3) years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of  seven (7) years. 

 

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
