Purpose and Scope

The Total Rewards Employee Support Representative serves as the initial contact for the Human Resources Office and responds to initial concerns and requests for information utilizing Human Resources knowledge. The TR Support Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service to all internal and external customers.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Serves as the Human Resources receptionist providing high-level customer service to internal and external customers (including but not limited to district employees, vendors and community members) in person, over the phone or via electronic communications when necessary
  2. Performs efficient and accurate data entry, including documenting all interactions with and services provided to customers
  3. Maintains excellent reponse time and timely follow-up as required
  4. Performs basic filing, mail pickup, distribution and other office functions as required.
  5. Handles all incoming forms, faxes, electronic correspondence and other documents efficiently and routes to the correct department in a timely manner.
  6. Assists customers completing Human Resources forms or electronic processes to include but not limited to application or various online forms.
  7. Processes and completes customer verification requests or assigned forms
  8. Manages customer data and prepares reports as requested. Responsible for compiling and generating reports as they relate to customer service surveys
  9. Demonstrates problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and address concerns/inquiries identified by customers, solve a wide breadth of concerns quickly
  10. Supports with the planning and implementation of projects assigned for benefits and total rewards programs or initiatives
  11. Supports the implementation of benefits, wellness, and engagement programs, and policies exclusively for MSCS employees
  12. Receives and responds to requests for verification of employment and experience to meet the needs of customers, utilizes excellent verbal, written and computer skills to communicate needs. Verifications include but are not limited to:  Long and/or Short-Term Disability claim forms, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) forms, teacher experience for current and past teachers, etc
  13. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or GED equivalent and four (4) years of customer service experience required. Human Resources experience preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).


Degree Equivalency Formula:

 

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
