SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Labor and Employee Rights Specialist is responsible for providing support for grievances, work-related compliance, and labor association support. In addition, the specialist prepares legal documentation and files as requested, as well as provides answers to general questions about the work of the office, status of grievances, ADA, and other investigations.
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the Memphis Shelby County School Board of Education’s (Board) Internal Audit Department. Assists the Executive Director of Internal Audit with the strategic planning necessary to provide assurance that internal controls are adequate and operating effectively throughout the District.
